Our history
Synergi Solutions has grown considerably since the start in 1989. This growth is based on providing a high quality state-of-the-art risk management system that in some areas is becoming the industry standard.
Synergi Solutions AS, back then called Pride ASA (PRofessional Information Systems DEvelopment) was established in October 1989 as a spin off from Norway’s prosperous offshore activities based in Stavanger.
In 1992 the company was awarded a contract for the development of a database for incident reporting and experience transfer for the company owners Statoil, Saga, Norsk Hydro, Aker, Smedvig og Braathens helikopter. In 1993, Pride’s eight employees released Synergi® version 1. In 1996 Pride implemented a complete quality management system and is certified according to NS-EN ISO 9001.
Two years and 30 more employees later, Synergi® 98 was launched, and Pride offered all services for implementation, training and HSE consulting related to the software solution.
The subsidiary offices in Aberdeen and Sweden emerged in 1999, offering the software Pride Green and Pride Chess. Synergi Solutions was established in addition to Pride as the Synergi source code was bought from the owner companies.
In 2003 the Synergi.X (version 10) saw the light of day and the first clients from the health care sector joined the Synergi family of clients. By this time, 60% of all new licenses were bought by non-Norwegian businesses and Synergi Solutions employed 49 people.
An important milestone was reached when the 100th Synergi client became a member of the Synergi family in 2004. Synergi was deployed in 35 countries and had over 250,000 users around the globe. The software was translated to 17 languages and used within the sectors of Oil & Gas, Transport, Processing industry, Construction and Health services.
To obtain the Synergi 24/7 service goal, Synergi Solutions signed a partnership and support staff transaction agreement with the global IT supplier Logica in 2008.
Today Synergi Solution AS has 30 employees. The Synergi family counts 200 customers all over the world and Synergi is a tool for over 500,000 users in more than 150 countries. We are proud to present one of the world’s leading enterprise risk management systems!
