Cutting costs with Synergi®
The Swedish state owned logistics company Green Cargo transports goods nationally and internationally, mainly by train. They work to promote sustainable development and through Synergi® reduce risk both with regards to financial and human factors.

Benefits of Synergi® for Green Cargo
- The calculated costs of Green Cargo’s possible accidents have decreased from 24 MSEK in 2002 to estimated 11 MSEK in 2006.
- The Green Cargo safety index –a product of Synergi®-data –has improved from 88,1 in 2002 to 92,5 in 2005. Behind this progressis a reduction of both serious accidents and incidents with low risk.
- Through Synergi® the valuable database of near-misses accidents and accidents now contains ca. 7,000 entries. These are searchable for Green Cargo’s employees for them to learn and seek alternative solutions when HSEQ problems occur.

Green Cargo qualifies Synergi® as a highly competent HSEQ system. As part of Swedish Railroads (SJ), Green Cargo chose Synergi® amongst other risk managing systems when SJ was divided into various independent companies in 2001.
Synergi® has now spread to many other companies that previously made up SJ, as they are still cooperating in many ways and Synergi® makes communication on HSEQ much smoother.
